Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our head protection and gear.

How do I determine my correct helmet size?

Use a flexible tape measure to measure the circumference of your head approximately one inch above your eyebrows. Compare this measurement to our size chart found on each product page.

Are Bern helmets certified for multiple sports?

Many of our helmets feature All-Season certification, meaning they meet safety standards for both bike and snow sports. Check the specific product specifications for CPSC, EN1077B, or EN1078 ratings.

When should I replace my helmet?

We recommend replacing your helmet every 3 to 5 years, or immediately following any significant impact, even if damage isn't visible.

Can I use my Bern helmet for motorcycling?

No, Bern helmets are designed and certified specifically for non-motorized action sports like cycling, skating, and skiing.

How do I clean my helmet liner?

Most Bern liners are removable. We recommend hand washing them in cold water with mild soap and letting them air dry completely.

Do you offer a crash replacement program?

Yes, we offer a discount on a replacement helmet if yours is damaged in an accident. Please contact our support team with photos of the damaged gear.
